In, 3 John 1:2 the Apostle Paul prays, "Beloved, I wish above ALL things that you prosper and be in health." God's plan for us is to do just that! To prosper is to increase in all areas of your life - not just finances!
In Deuteronomy 8:18, "He has anointed us with the power to create, make and get wealth"!
I love what I do - working from home. I love marketing amazing products without having to sell them. I know a lot of people who have "side businesses" that involve selling products, taking orders, deliveries etc. I didn't want to hassle with all of that. Being a single mom, getting quality time with my son is challenging enough! I'm a full time college student (earning a bachelor's in Business Administration and an Assoc. in Early Childhood Education to run a nationwide chain of Christian child care and preschool centers), very involved in my church - being there at least 4 days a week, and run a home business. Finding time to study, complete homework, do house chores, and spend time with God and my son is all important to me but how do I fit it all in?
Fortunately, our God is a God of order. Only through and with Him have I been able to create and maintain a daily schedule and routine that involves all of these things. Time is the only thing we all have the same amount of! I challenge you to look at your day; what do you do with your time? "For from Him, and to Him, and through Him are ALL things! To Him be the glory forever! Amen." - Romans 11:36
In my business, I don't just market products and a company I love. I get to share the green life with my friends, family, and everyone I meet. I love living green; recycling, using environmentally safe household cleaners and other products, growing my own food, saving money, etc! In my business, I get to introduce people to a new way of shopping for their every day household products and help them save money and do good for their home, family, and the environment at the same time!
God's plan is for us to be in full health. I could write another blog (and I just might) on how Jesus redeemed us from sickness and disease. With my home business, I get to introduce people to a store that truly cares about it's customers - about their health, safety, and the quality of the environment. They've been creating and selling eco-friendly products for over 23 years! They're not just in on this current trend towards "green" living, but they've been doing it genuinely long before it was chic because its the right thing to do. I am proud to stand behind a good, solid company that cares.
God also has given us the power, ideas, and wisdom to make, create, and get wealth! I love that not only can I be a customer of this amazing health and wellness eco-friendly and caring company, but I get to earn a nice income right from my home office with my son by my side doing something I'd do anyway since I love the company so much - introducing new customers to shop there! I know when I used to shop at Walmart, they never gave me an incentive to refer customers to their store. (I could also write another blog on how much better my store is than walmart!) It's so easy and fun and I don't have to put my son in daycare for someone else to raise him while I work a full time job! My income directly reflects how much effort I put into my business - I'm not locked into an hourly wage that may never increase. I also get to be my own boss and set my own hours so I can be sure to be available for all the other things I've got going on in my life! At the end of each day, I evaluate my work and ask, "would I fire me, or keep me?" If I have a bad day, I make up for it the next day with extra effort!
