Isn't that just beautiful?!? That's my idea of a perfect vacation spot!
I'm beginning the Tone It Up #bikiniseries 8 weeks to summer challenge. While I have no real intention of wearing an actual bikini this summer, I do need extra motivation and challenges to stay focused! I'm just better at journaling online rather than on paper these days, so this is where I will be doing that (this also allows for additional accountability with my readers!). There are so many areas of my life that I am currently trying to get in check, I just thought this was the best place to keep it all organized - instead of the tone it up website which is specifically for fitness/health. So, here we go!
*How do I want to feel when summer gets here?
Happy, naturally energetic, physically lighter/not weighed down and in less pain
*What will I have accomplished?
I will have run a full 5K
I will not eat fast food for 30 days
I will cook at home ahead of time and freeze to prepare for busy evenings/days
*What's truly in my way of accomplishing my goals?
I've lost focus on my priorities: God FIRST, Family second, career third
This means tithing, attending church, daily prayer, worship and Bible reading being TOP priority. Second would include homeschooling curriculum/teaching/Jay's education, discipline/limits (Love & Logic study & practice) my exercise, taking/making time to prepare healthy meals and snacks & avoiding eating out, sticking to a budget, limiting screen time for both of us, spending fun time together, etc. And finally, my child care business and all that goes with that would come in last - not first. Re-prioritizing the many things I manage in my life will greatly help me reach all my goals!
*How can I overcome these?
REFOCUS!!! God needs to come first. I will focus on putting God first in every area of my life for at least 7 days and expect everything else to fall in to place. Then, add more to my plan.
*How can I commit to my plan for the next 8 weeks?
Common Downfall #1: sleeping in - go to bed by 9:00, use essential oils to help with sleep apnea & back pain
set alarm 10 mins before I NEED to get up to allow for one snooze ;)
set phone (alarm) by window - away from bed - so I have to get out of bed to turn it off
sleep in workout clothes
prep backup workout DVD in case of bad weather
Common Downfall #2: convenience food - cook & freeze weekly while Jay is at Youth Night & keep fresh produce around to snack on
visit farmers market weekly every Saturday morning (mow lawn, shower, breakfast, market)
write goals for finances next (in similar manner as this) and set plan that includes groceries & no access to money throughout week so I can't run to the drive through while I'm out
Common Downfall #3: weekends - Only sleep in one hour (7:00 am) - take afternoon nap if needed
start EVERY day the SAME - water & fruit, workout, shower, breakfast, DAY
