In His Presence

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
Let my prayer come before You and really enter into Your presence; incline Your ear to my cry!

After listing out all the things I have started so far this year I was actually amazed at how much I've accomplished! Some of the things on that list have already fallen away as incomplete, but some have been completed and still others are still being worked on! God never ceases to amaze me by His works in my life. Only through His strength within me, His grace have I been able to accomplish anything.

Still, I am looking for a way out of this chaos-filled life.  As a single mother, I have the entire household load to carry alone.  This was never God's intention when He designed the family in the first place; but, I am now facing the consequences of my previous life decisions and complete lack of wisdom.  My son, though, is the light of my life.  My whole world is wrapped around him in some way.  God has truly used my son to help me to grow in so many ways.

From his first day of life, I knew this would not be an easy road - but things worth this much rarely are.  So, its clear that my son takes first priority in my life and whenever he has a need I make sure its filled to the best of my ability.  The problem is, this is not God's plan.  God needs to take first priority in my life, and my son needs to take second.  This is something I'm aware of and working on changing.  When any of His children have a need, God is quick and faithful to supply what is needed - but I'm limiting His ability to do so in my son's life when I try to take care of it first then turn to God and ask for help.

Tonight we have a guest worship leader coming to our church.  I'm expecting great things from God tonight!  In His presence is fullness of joy and mighty miracles have been done in an atmosphere of corporate worship.  Worshipping Him at home by myself is good, and the Bible instructs us to do so, but so much more can be done when we come together as a family and worship Him in one accord.  The atmosphere of worship is the atmosphere for miracles.... and I need quite a few of them!

Until next time!
